We've launched our new site to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of D-Day

Well it's been a long time coming but we've just launched our D-Day Stripes campaign worldwide on Twitter, Google+, Pinterest etc. Here's a preview:

Painting D-Day Stripes onto a Spitfire
On Friday June the 6th 2014, it will be the 70th Anniversary of Operation Overlord - or D-Day as it has come to be known.

Prior to the invasion, every aircraft taking part had to have black and white recognition stripes painted on their wings and fuselage to limit any friendly fire from the armada of ships crossing the English Channel.

This year, show your recognition of the bravery and sacrifice of the men and women involved in the operation by wearing your stripes.

You can show your recognition by wearing your stripes in the run up to D-Day, and raise awareness on this momentous occasion, by clicking on our Product page and choosing an item to wear > http://www.ddaystripes.com/products.html

20% from the sale of D-Day Stripes armbands and wristbands goes direct to the D-Day Revisited charity which takes D-Day veterans back to Normandy for the anniversary.

FW: Moving & Shaking: Directing Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston

Moving and shaking in the Celtx community...
Introducing Brandon Polanco: Your New Role Model

Working as a PA on the upcoming feature Cold Comes the Night, budding filmmaker Brandon Polanco got the opportunity of a lifetime to direct 3-time Emmy winner Bryan Cranston (Walter White of Breaking Bad) in Writer's Block, a short film written and shot in just 24 hours. As Brandon puts it "The inception of the film was a little magic, being in the right place at the right time, and a whole lot of work". We had a chance to speak with Brandon on his experience and welcome you to click through for the full interview.

New Animated Series: Friend Us!

We first heard from Los Angeles-based filmmaker John Hoyos a few years back when he was using Celtx to develop Dan VS for Film Roman and Starz.  Now John has teamed up with talent from the likes of Disney, DreamWorks, King of the Hill, The Simpsons, and Futurama to develop Friend Us!, a one-of-a-kind social media integrated animated series.  Check out John's Kickstarter campaign, which is already past its first goal and in a push to get backing for a 6-episode first season.

ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship:
Win a Trip to L.A. & Top-Level Hollywood Meetings

We're also pleased to announce Celtx is sponsoring this year's ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship, in which up to four talented screenwriters will be invited to Los Angeles. Writers will participate in an intensive and ongoing program designed to develop their scripts and advance their careers via strategic introductions to key Hollywood executives and talent representatives .  You can check out the Fellowship here, and be sure to use the code 'CELTX' for a 10% discount on your application.
